Hundreds of residents, organizations, businesses, local governments and elected officials are endorsing the effort to designate a Nation’s Oldest Port National Heritage Area to permanently recognize the region’s rich maritime and multicultural heritage and significant contributions to American heritage.

As we proceed with the feasibility process and work together to foster and support regional partnerships in heritage and nature preservation and promotion, our list of supporters grows (see the list)

Additionally, local organizations are volunteering their time and resources to guide the feasibility effort.  This group is referred to as the Nation’s Oldest Port Heritage Area Alliance.  This working group meets frequently to advance progress on the feasibility document being prepared for review by the National Park Service and Congress.  Heritage Area Alliance meetings are open to all stakeholders.  Click here to see how you can help.
